Over time, as drum heads show their wear, sound quality suffers and the playing experience is diminished. Typically, the recommended time frame for replacement is after two seasons. The drums are entering their fourth season on the same bass and tenor drum heads. The Evans MX2 series bass and tenor drum heads will provide our students with a much better playing experience, and a more consistent sound within the band. Students will take an active role in changing out the old heads for the new. This will provide our students with the added benefit of caring for their instruments, and taking pride in the exemplary upkeep of our school equipment.
