The items I have chosen will help my students with their daily writing. They will be able to see how they started the school year and how far they have come over the year. The Dr. Seuss journal will be used daily for them to write about things they want to write for our weekly writing skills. I want them to be able to see how they started the school year and where they are at the end of the year. The Scholastic News will be used as homework for the 30 minutes they need to read at home and for center times. I want to see my students gain some very serious growth in their reading skills this year. My third graders have to pass two tests this year for the state. These materials will help them achieve this goal. For my other grades it will help them prepare for the tests in their future. The Audio book for each grade will be used during center time. I want them to hear books they haven't read yet and be able to do some independent reading.
