Change classroom photo
After teaching for several years now and seeing our school's occupational therapist use different seating options for students, I realized that all students could benefit from different seating options. The metal stack stools will be used for my guided reading table as a change of scenery from their normal seats. The surf portable lap desks will be used for my floor centers as a way to be more comfortable working on the floor. Children working on the floor can still choose to use a simple clipboard and a pillow or have the option of using these cool seats to work in. The variety of seating choices around my classroom will help motivate students to focus and want to learn. The different options will give the more active students a chance to sit and work in different areas. The stools and the balance balls are other options I'd like to put in my writing center and use as a special chair for the student of the week. If I can make my students' childhood better and open the door to an endless amount of possibilities while helping them learn, then I have succeeded. I want my students to be comfortable at school and have fun while learning.
