My goal this year is to sit down every day with my learners and read, read read! These books tell diverse stories and teach lessons of people from all different backgrounds such as LGBTQ+, African American, Hispanic, Indian, Asian American, etc. Many of my students and/or their families are newcomers to America, but do not know a lot outside of their culture. I want them to know that all are welcome and loved in our classroom. These books can help start conversations about diversity, inclusion, and treating ALL with kindness.
