The materials I've selected already have a home and a use within my class! I have a classroom library ready to get some love with fresh new books that my kids will love to read. The shelves are ready for books that kids can see themselves in, and that will open up a whole new world for them through the experiences of other people and cultures. We will use the primary writing journals to help the kids express themselves and their understanding with words. The multicultural crayons will help to make sure they can find a shade that looks like them to enhance their drawings and make each picture unique. The donations towards this project will allow my amazing first graders to grow and foster a continued love of learning through engaging with representative books they can read, write and be inspired by!
