Having the Mindstorm EV3 Education Core Kit and Exspansion Kit will allow the students to have more time to focus on robot programming and completing the missions. This will be used everyday the group meets to build the robot and attachments needed for competition. The students will be able to have two groups working on the robot and another group working on research and presentation. Since this is an after school program and are able to only meet twice a week this will increase time on task for robot design and enhance their understanding of the robot construction. Having these items will also help with community outreach by increasing the students knowledge base to explain and demonstrate the core values and overall mission of the First Lego League.
