Kids will trade evenings of watching tv at home for the opportunity to create simple code on a tablet to program the Dash and Dot robots to perform fun, educational tasks. Then, students can show off what they learn to family at home and teachers and classmates back at school. Teachers send homework, library books and textbooks home with students, so why not send a robot and a tablet home with kids once in a while? Having fun, relevant technology in their hands outside of school will make a lasting impact on my students’ lives that will last long after fourth grade.
