My students are amazing and resilient learners. Teaching in a Title One school, I have found that the classroom is where students come to leave the worries of everyday living that no seven and eight year old should have, behind. Teaching students to be comfortable with technology without the long cords for the mouse and headphones. They are too large for their smaller heads and these will give students an opportunity to succeed in this technology driven age. Bright, fluorescent lights make it hard to focus for some students, especially those struggling to control their behavior. Covering these will help decrease their stress and provide a calm learning environment for them to succeed. Having a colorful book bin to keep their newest books gives students a sense of pride and also fosters a love of reading at an age where reading is becoming easier and more enjoyable. Please help my students succeed this year by donating to our classroom needs. Thank you so much for your help!
