My scholars are a fantastic group of bright young minds. They view reading as an exciting adventure and many of them are just beginning to understand the impact that reading can have on their lives. They desperately want to read; yet many of them do not own any books and have not been exposed to the broader community outside of their inner city neighborhood. While many of my students' families struggle economically, they bring excitement and curiosity with them to school everyday, This year, I hope to make the idea of becoming a worldly scholar a reality for them!

About my class
