Third grade is an important year for reading. My students will be taking their very first standardized state test. It is imperative that I teach them strategies to become great readers. I need to encourage them to develop a love of reading that will carry them into becoming lifelong learners. I have chosen a love seat for students to buddy read as well as a chair for more independent reading. The light will help them feel that they are away from the classroom lights and the nesting tables can be used for laptops or writing assignments. The furniture I have chosen will create a coffeehouse atmosphere where students can appreciate sitting comfortable and concentrating on their work or a good book.
