I hope to begin this school year with a wide variety of fresh, new books for our classroom library - both fiction and nonfiction readers and texts that my students will be able to read independently from the start of the year. For me it is important to build confidence in reading from the get go. I believe that this confidence leads to the child’s choice and desire to read. When you can do something well, chances are you’ll want to do more of it. I want my students to want to read, and impart to become lifelong readers who love all sorts of books!

About my class
