My students are AWESOME! They are kids with high morals and the ability to work hard. They are lower middle class kids that just plain have to do their best. Often overlooked they aren't the ones with parents that have unlimited resources or they aren't the ones that are Title 1. They sit right in the middle which means that they get neglected by any special funding. We attend a school that has a high rate of parent volunteers though they don't necessarily have the money to donate. I regularly have 7-8 parents in my classroom a week which helps with reading and math especially. Our school is only one year old which means that our library isn't as full as it could be but it is slowly getting bigger. As a parent of five children myself I know the value of learning and education and I'm doing everything I can to help them learn to become better citizens of our great country.
