Some of the most important moments in a kindergarten classroom are spent together as a class in a designated area. We call this carpet time. I am requesting a classroom carpet to give my students a place where they feel cozy and at home to promote the best learning environment. Carpet time serves many purposes in my classroom, from story time to student sharing. The carpet is a place where we come back together, refocus, and really become a family. As teachers we spend so much time and effort on creating a warm, inviting, and kid friendly environment. This carpet will be the perfect addition to my classroom. It will not only provide me with a whole group meeting place, but it will also be educational. I will be able to be incorporated the carpet as a learning opportunity because of the letters the carpet displays.
