While I already have a carpet in my room, it does not provide the structure and coziness that I wish for my students. Currently, half of my students sit on tile while the other half sit on the carpet. Students will fight over space on the carpet which disrupts our ability to learn. When students walk on the carpet, the carpet moves which creates a safety hazard. This new carpet will give my students a structured place to sit in. It will be comfortable and spacious which will provide a safe and cozy atmosphere for my students. Students will be excited for carpet time and will engage more in the lesson rather than focusing on where they sit.
