Ms. Blann and I have taught together for 2 years. This year we are departmentalizing and will be focusing on teaching reading. When this was decided, we sat down and reevaluated our literacy stations. We have spent a large chunk of our summer reorganizing our literacy stations for students to come. We realized we could be giving our students more rigorous workstations. The materials from Lakeshore Learning will address the areas our students need to practice the most. They will be able to practice the specific skills we have not had the resources to easily provide them with. The Grab & Match Leveled Context Clues Quickies will help our students grow their vocabulary and learn to identify the meanings of new words in text. The Match & Sort Phonics cards will help build crucial phonics skills that all of our students need to become better readers. These are just two of the areas we feel our students needed to be challenged more in. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
