Kids love to make things. Giving them the opportunity to use the Makey Makeys to invent their own projects across the curriculum will engage their higher-order thinking skills and provide chances to communicate and collaborate with their peers. This STEM kit will be accessible to all students to explore and create. Kindergartners will learn have to make music using items like bananas, carrots, or tin foil. Students with special needs will be able to take advantage of the way a Makey Makey can be used as assistive technology to engage students with autism to interact with what they see on a monitor or interactive screen. Finally, students in 3-5 can combine the prior knowledge of Scratch to create programs using the wiring from the kit. The possibilities are endless!
