Flexible seating will help motivate my students to learn. We must teach several minilessons a day where students gather on the carpet. They get uncomfortable quickly, and I want them to use floor cushions to be excited to meet at our gathering space, so there are no barriers to them learning the new skill. I am excited to incorporate comfortable seating around the room to increase student choice and independence. Students will feel empowered when they are trusted to make good choices. They will be more engaged and will be allowed more movement to get wiggles out with wobble chairs, bounce ball seats, and wobble seats.
