My students consistently come to school without basic school supplies such as paper, pencils, and pens. Seeing as our school is located in an impoverished community, I feel like it may be difficult for some students to afford basic school supplies. I am always running to the store to stock up on paper for their notebooks, and pencils and pens for them to write with. Also, printing at our school is extremely difficult, so I have added extra paper so I can print class materials for my US History students. The pencils and pens will help the students be more prepared for the day, and will ease any embarrassment they may feel about being unprepared for school.
