I am a firm believer in using good, timeless literature to promote a healthy learning environment for my classroom. For this reason, many of the books I chose have a central theme of friendship, ownership, and becoming successful learners. Some of the titles I have included will teach my students to share, how to cope with a classroom setting, and how to be a active participant in our classroom. My students will learn timeless life lessons as we read through these storybooks. In turn, these lessons will serve as a basis for our classroom community throughout the school year. I plan to use these books alongside art lessons and character building discussions.
