Fine motor skills are critical for developing the small muscles that control the hand, fingers, and thumb.Little hands must have sensory experiences to refine these muscles. They are critical for the dexterity and strength required to manipulate many "school" instruments such as writing tools and scissors but also daily activities such as buttoning, zipping, tying, feeding, etc. By donating to our project you will be providing a plethora of tools for our students to develop these muscles. Puzzles provide practice with spatial awareness, critical thinking, and problem solving while using fine motor to maneuver the small pieces. Therapy putty, kinetic sand, water beads, and play doh fulfill a sensory need that all young students have while strengthening those fine muscles. I have the containers and easy access storage necessary to house these crucial early learning materials. I just need the supplies to help my young learners develop these fine motor skills. The requested materials provide an engaging and oh so fun way to enhance the small muscles that are critical for BIG success!
