We need two Botley the Coding Robot by Learning Resources which has beginner features as well as advanced features for those students that already have some coding skills. These are easier to incorporate into my classroom because I won't have a roadblock of needing a particular device to use them. I will use these in small groups of two students per Botley. This teaches kids to code with active, screen-free play that's perfect for promoting critical thinking and problem solving skills. This will increase student engagement and they will take ownership for their learning. "If we teach today' students as we taught yesterday's we rob them of tomorrow." (John Dewey) Future jobs for these students will rely on STEM learning.
