AVID provides an opportunity for each and every student to ponder a concept that they are struggling in one of their courses. Being new to high school and the rigor that is highly expected, students greatly appreciate the tutorials that are organized twice a week. In the classroom, I have a classroom whiteboard that helps serve two tutorial groups, but we are short three groups. With the three whiteboards that I am asking for, all students will be able to successfully complete their tutorials. Tutorials are student lead: the student presenter writes their point of confusion on the whiteboard and explains what they know about the question and what they do not know. The group members then help their presenter through inquiry. These whiteboards are essential to all students in their tutorials.
