By having stand-up desks, lap desks and bean bags in my classroom, students will be able to learn and focus on the lesson being taught. They will be able to choose the best seat that makes them more successful in the learning environment while also making them feel comfortable and safe. If students are able to feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment, and they have the ability to choose where to sit in order to be the most successful they will learn better. Think about a coffee house if you visit them often and work, being comfortable helps you focus on the task you are trying to accomplish. This tactic is also useful in the classroom.
