Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their leaning and make choices that work best for them. The idea behind flexible seating is allowing the students to make choices... which in turn motivates them. I want my students to feel empowered in their education. I want my students to be taught virtues such as self-discipline, trustworthiness, and respectfulness simply by being given some options for their learning. Making sure students are comfortable is a key component in motivating them. The furniture I have selected will allow my students to work collaboratively while providing seating options to make more effective learning choices. The Flex-Space mobile round and rectangular tables are adjustable, as well as easily maneuvered. I'm also requesting Flex-Space Balance Ball Seats and Wobble Chairs which will be beneficial for students who don't prefer the traditional seating options. I have also chosen Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats for the students who prefer to sit on the floor. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students. I truly hope that these new tables and seating will further their independence and grow them academically!
