Some of the simplest supplies can make the difference between a smooth day and a bumpy day. An extra tape dispenser or stapler can cut organization for scholars in half. Every minute saved is another minute added to the teaching side of the day. The stapler is broken again. I am always amazed at how quickly a ten year old can break a stapler. I model how to use the stapler, but they really love to slam it down when no one is watching. Ahhhhhh! I am sure that we all remember the temptation to turn all paper into a paper airplane when the teacher is sick and there is a substitute. Yes, this is still happening in my room. We use Post-Its for so many things and I never have enough. Four per student make an awesome math definition flip book.
