The materials will make a difference in student learning by updating a therapeutic special education classroom space. Students' learning will be supported by these materials by creating a space that supports needs in the areas of reading, writing, academic stamina, social skills, attention, and focus. A rug will provide the classroom with a warm and bright place to meet for Reader's and Writer's Workshop, for whole group discussions and an area to practice mindfulness using the mindfulness activities on the materials list. To provide students with additional movement options the Floor is Lava game and mini trampoline allow students easy access to inside classroom movement break choices. The rocker chair and rug will provide additional flexible seatings options for students.
