Fifth grade is the first official year of middle school in our district. Flexible seating options and cozy reading nooks abound in elementary school, and I would like to bring these comfortable and cozy seating options to our fifth graders to help the middle school learning environment feel more familiar. As an ELA (reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar) teacher, I implement small group instruction and independent reading time into each day. Lakeshore's Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats, Wobble Cushions, Balance Ball Seats, and Soft Seats will promote comfortable seating during small group instruction and allow students to find their own cozy reading corner during their independent reading time. They will be cozy in their new learning environment, and they are used to this style of seating in elementary school. The kids will enjoy reading in a comfortable seating option of their choice!
