As a first year teacher at a low income school, I am somewhat limited in the resources that I can provide for my students especially concerning seating arrangements. Different types of flexible seating such as wobble chairs and floor seats will promote higher motivation and engagement for each student. This will give them more responsibility and the opportunity to have choices. The classroom will then become better student-centered. I want to provide my very ethnically diverse students a way to accommodate their energetic spirits by creating different seating options. This will help to create a huge sense of community that will facilitate learning and the appreciation for each other's differences.
