By having two tower fans in my classroom, I can have one in the front and back. The school building is brick and over fifty plus years old. On hazy, hot and humid days, my students are like wilted flowers. Although I try to keep them cool with box fans, turning the lights off and water bottles on each desk, this environment is not conducive to learning. Additionally, in the warmer months of September and May, we have district benchmark and state assessments within my classroom. These tower fans will allow my fourth-grade students optimal testing conditions so they may think critically, focus on the assessment at hand, and not being hot. Most importantly, these tower fans will decrease headaches, nausea and reduce students missing instructional time by needing to go to the nurse!
