Students with disabilities experience a daily struggle with reading and writing. My students who receive special services are included in the general education classroom for most of the day, with my assistance and extra support. While in the general education setting, my students struggle with certain skills and/or activities. If only I could provide them with resources they need... Could you imagine being able to allow engagement and the feeling of success for all of your students with disabilities all at once? That would be possible if I had enough iPads for each of my students. My students get so excited when they get to use the one iPad I currently have in my classroom. They treat the iPad and other technology with love and respect. They know how valuable iPads are and they are thankful for the opportunity to use technology. With these two iPads, I will be able to allow all of my students access to an technology throughout the day. There are many apps that will accommodate each of my students to allow them to feel as successful as the general education students sitting right beside them. This project will give my students the feeling of grade level success and fitting in with their peers, even with a disability!
