Our school is brand new - this is only our second year. It was established to provide a rigorous, high quality education to the children of low-income families. We want to provide our students with a wide variety of learning materials and resources, recognizing that children learn in many different ways. A listening center is one more tool we can utilize in providing a diverse and differentiated approach to teaching our children to move through the process of learning to read to the next stage of their education: reading to learn. It is foundational to every other subject they will study beginning in elementary school and carrying them on to a post-high school education.

About my class
