About my class

Third grade is such a critical time for development of math skills. We study place value, fractions, multiplication, division, and more! Students needs to have a deep understanding of these concepts in order to be successful in future grades. One of the best ways to help them do this is through hands-on, rigorous math games. This project will go towards expanding our stations during math workshop. I have chosen a variety of games that are aligned to our standards and will help deepen my students' critical thinking skills. They will be able to use these games to practice all of the skills we have learned. These games will also allow so many opportunities for students to work together and enhance their collaboration and communication skills. The games will be housed in one of our Math Workshop stations and students will be able to work in small groups to help them practice our math standards in a fun, engaging way!
