By giving my students their own personal place to store their materials, we are making them feel as if they have their own space in the classroom and reducing the amount of time between different lessons because their materials are easily accessible. Reducing the time between lessons helps keep the chaos to a minimum, keeps the transitions smooth, and allows for a lot more learning time in the classroom. Students have a lot to learn in one school year and in order for them to learn and grow, they need multiple items including composition notebooks, basic supplies, and binders. These seat pockets are great for storing those and keeping them in an area that the students can easily find them!
