Students need to be able to move around to learn! It is so hard to focus in today’s world. We expect young children to sit still and automatically assume that they are not learning or paying attention if they are “busy” or moving around. This project will allow children a fun, flexible, different type of seating that will allow them to move around even while they are sitting. I am always reminded when I attend Professional Developments, how difficult it is to sit still and listen to presenters/teachers. Seats today are so uncomfortable and why should we expect children to stay focused and want to learn, stationary, in one spot all day? Wobble Stools are a type of seating that allow students to move back and forth, side to side and “wiggle” in their seat, while being less distracting to others. These seats allow students to safely move around in their seat without rocking back in the chair with the danger of it falling backwards. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
