Students need to be engaged in learning in order to retain information. Utilizing stations is the best way for me to keep the students engaged and excited about Math! Students need to have opportunities to practice and strengthen each skill that is taught. The Math In a Flash Discovery Cans offer a unique way to allow students to practice several skills. The students will greatly benefit from these Discovery Cans which include very engaging activities! This would be a fantastic addition to stations! Spiraling topics is key to maintaining the high levels of knowledge students need to master 4th grade Math. The Discovery Cans offer several topics that can be utilized to spiral learning all year! Station time includes small group instruction with the teacher, computer work, independent practice, small group games and activities, and spiral activities. The Math In a Flash Discovery Cans can be utilized during the introduction of a topic, and also as a spiraling activity the rest of the year. These Cans cover one skill at a time and the instructions are easy to understand and all the materials are included. The students can grab a can and get to work! This would be a perfect addition to station work!
