When the year 2020 started, all my students attended their classes/sessions eager to learn every day. However, due to life circumstances their lives changed drastically from one day to the next. While participating in teletherapy from home my students enjoyed interactive activities and having conversations about their experiences. They had a safe space to learn in a fun way and express themselves. Through this platform, I was also able to provide them with calming strategies and ideas of activities they can do at home to improve speech and language skills, and ways to relief anxiety during stressful times. At this point this will be the new norm and I will need to support students through out the school year via teletherapy. In order to do so, I am kindly requesting a MacBook for this project. With the help of my donors I can support my students in being academically successful providing them with strategies to access the General education curriculum. Thank you for reading and supporting!
