Integrating art into the classroom is beneficial for all students! Art helps students develop their creativity, their ability to express their thoughts, and increases their enjoyment of school. In Kindergarten, art and painting help develop students writing ability and is useful in making science and social science concepts accessible. Most of my students come from homes where art and hands on activities are not done. It is my job, as their teacher and advocate, to provide as many creative outlets for my students as possible. Kindergarten does not get the chance to go to art during the week, so it is my job to bring art and creativity into the classroom. We need crayons, paint, play dough and many other art supplies. This project will help me provide hands on activities that will help my students be creative and artistic!
