About my class

My 6th grade students come to us at the middle school with the energy and enthusiasm of elementary students, but without the opportunities for recess and other breaks found in elementary schools. This is a huge adjustment for our students and extended sitting in an appropriate manner is sometimes difficult. My students are constantly tipping their chairs back, sitting on their knees, or rocking in their chairs - not to be disruptive, but just because of the energy they have. I purchased a couple wobble chairs at the end of last year and they were a game changer for my students. The requested five Kore Wobble Chairs are a popular seating choice, not just for my visibly energetic students, but all of my students. My students took turns using the Wobble Chairs and it allowed them to move around as they needed without disrupting their classmates. Students were also more focused on their learning. I am hoping that, by adding more Wobble Chairs to my classroom, more of my students will be able to more effectively learn.
