Like most adults, children can not sit at a desk throughout the day. I provide movement breaks, but these comfortable seating options would really allow the children to choose a quiet space to read and write. I know flexible seating will help increase my students’ reading stamina and it will provide a comfortable location for students to share their ideas. I teach my students how to care for these items and it becomes an incentive to select a comfortable place to sit during Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop. During staff meetings I often realize how challenging it can be to sit in a hard seat all day. I know my students will appreciate these flexible cushioned seats.
