Students in my classroom will benefit from these items in so many ways! Students with ASD typically have a hard time with focus during difficult tasks, especially tasks they do not want to do...like school work. The Norwood Plastic Stack Stools will be utilized during small group teacher instruction typically during reading and math, but also may be used during group projects that include sensory and cooking skills. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats will be utilized for students as a choice during independent work/reading as well as any carpet time or classroom meetings. The Glow Stool will be utilized as an option for students to use whenever they feel necessary. Peanut Balls will be used for during independent work around the room. As for the sensory items on my list. The flexible seating I have chosen will help my kiddos to better attend to academic work which will lead to more success in the classroom! My ultimate goal is to challenge my students in order for them to be the most successful and help them to reach academic goals which will increase their time with their peers who are not identified as having a disability.
