In my classroom I am striving to create a comfortable community environment for my second graders to thrive in. This includes flexible seating options, spaces for restorative circles, and tools to assist students when they choose flexible seating. A bright new classroom rug will not only provide us all with a comfortable place to sit during guided readings or community circles, but will also boost the energy and pride in our classroom! Additionally, the whiteboard clip boards will allow us to complete various types of activities on our new rug and in other spaces around the classroom. It is important for me to create a space where my scholars can take pride in their learning and feel like they matter. I can only imagine the smiles, laughter, and awesome work that will come from having a clean and brand new rug to sit on together!
