Students will receive a weekly Time for Kids magazine subscription. Students will be able to analyze news articles, read the pros and cons of each current event, and then using their own learned family values and their research from close reading the text, develop and form an opinion of their own. This subscription provides multiple learning opportunities for every student. The subscription can be used as informational text to springboard writing projects, close reading, growth mindset learning conversations, problem solving, and more. It also has an online subscription so we are able to access even more content than just from the weekly magazine itself. The magazine will be delivered to school and able to go home weekly to help students engage in conversation with family at home.
