I am currently the Student Intervention Specialist servicing students in grades K-4. I work with students who are in tier 2 and 3 who may need extra support outside of the classroom. My goal is to bridge any academic gaps so they can be successful in their classrooms by creating a pathway of individualized plans. These students come to the intervention room 30 mins a day for reading and math. During this time, my assistants and I help the students gain as many skills as they can possible retain. Our goal is for the students to work their way back into the classroom and be as successful as their peers. These hands-on instructional games will keep the students focused during their short time in the room. When they are focused and engaged, they will retain more information than when they are bored with a worksheet! By donating to my classroom, you are playing a huge part in creating student success for all!
