My students identify as the class of 2021-- because that is the year they will graduate from college! Shorter term, we're working to grow 2 years, on average, in reading level this year so that they will be prepared for the best high schools (and later colleges). My 6th graders are energetic, enthusiastic, and excited to explore a variety of books as they become voracious readers.
