I have requested book titles from different genres and themes. These books will be introduced into our classroom library as well as our writing curriculum. Some of the texts that I am requesting include, Where the Sidewalk Ends, I Wanna Iguana, Owl Moon, and When the Relatives Came. Children learn through example, and these texts give excellent examples of different writings. "Reading is fundamental, it is one of the most important ingredients to becoming all that you can be." Children grow through reading both academically and personally. By filling our classroom library with books that reach all readers, my students will continue to grow and flourish.
