In the library, we set aside 10-15 minutes for students to find and check out books. During check out time, students will be allowed to use these kits after checking out their books. This is an unstructured time in the class and for all students, this would provide them an opportunity to learn through play. These kits will be set out for students to choose what activity they would like to interact with. These educational sets will allow for students to either learn through skills of reading instruction or learn by being creative and critical thinkers allowing trial-and-error. The students will be able to explore through the hands-on learning kits and be able to build and create objects that create self-esteem. A positive self-esteem encourages students and provides to excel in other areas of learning.
