These flexible seating options, chairs, ball seats, pillows and cushions will allow for movement among seats and within seats during the day. My wish is to allow for more student choice, having my students take more ownership of our room and their educational setting. These various seats will also accommodate active learners, while keeping them focused on learning tasks. Many of the children I work with are kinesthetic learners and work better when able to move or fidget freely during class, centers, and group work time. Lastly, I hope to make classroom my more welcoming and varied for my students due to the range of learners I have in a first grade classroom setting.
