Flexible seating allows for students to get their wiggles out all while staying focused in the classroom. Choosing alternative seating allows for the students to explore different seating options and find the perfect fit for the way they learn best. Children are naturally active, offering seats beyond the traditional chairs leads to academic success. In this project, I chose three different types of alternative seating that I felt would bring the most success to my classroom. The Donut Balls and Wobble Stools allow for the students to bounce or rock in order to get their wiggles out. These are used at a normal height table. Students may get a normal chair if needed. The Wobble Cushions are smaller and allow for the students to move around the classroom for a comfortable floor seating option. Allowing students to have a choice leaves a positive impact on their work and motivation. I hope that adding these additional options will help us grow even more!
