The materials and supplies from this project already have a place in our classrooms. Meaning, though they haven't arrived yet, lesson plans have been created and supply packs have been built for all students to assess their needs prior to the creation of this project. We are asking only for what is necessary to allow our students to engage with the lessons and immerse themselves in hands-on learning experiences. The 6th-grade teaching staff has also redesigned our classrooms to incorporate round tables and flexible seating so the students can have laser focus in the classroom as they feel comfortable and at ease in their environment! Our students are noticeably more engaged and less disruptive of other students when they have quick access to all necessary materials and choices as to where to work inside of the classroom. The products that have been selected were reviewed and chosen carefully by the 6th-grade teaching team. The new tables and chairs allow for seating options to help create a more effective learning environment. Each marker, pen, pencil, and notebook allows our students to be set up for success in the classroom and at home. We are excited to see how our students will grow with these fun-dational class supplies!
