Wherever you look these days, kids and adults alike are using technology in their everyday life. As my students continue to progress academically, they will be using technology constantly. Students need technology to write their far-fetched adventures, assess their comprehension, explore celestial bodies, and discover similarities between their lives and kids across the world. With technology like the Kindle Fire and the Chromebook, the students are allowed to grow, learn, and share their unique ideas and understanding. Technology gives everyone equal access to information. When the world's knowledge is at the students' fingertips, they are given great responsibility. Along with their potential individual growth, my students will learn the importance of such responsibilities through specific guidelines and rules to keep themselves and the items safe. Most students become less disruptive and more engaged when their creative and academic abilities have multiple outlets. They may choose to use traditional pen and paper, desktop computers, or hand-held tablets. Giving students these options show the students that they are trusted, independent individuals who bear responsibility for their success.
